Abstract:	Namen diplomske naloge je na začetku predstaviti kratek zgodovinski pregled razvoja slovenske glasbe in prikazati potek razvoja umetne vokalne glasbe. Sledi osvetlitev vloge in pomena glasbe na razvoj otrok ter navajanje pozitivnih vplivov, ki jih ima zborovsko petje na odraščajočega otroka. Ker je dandanes zaradi različnih dejavnikov, ki so v nalogi prav tako navedeni, zanimanje otrok za zborovsko petje v upadu, je nekaj strani namenjenih tudi motiviranju otrok za tovrstno dejavnost. Poudarjen je pomen sposobnosti in lastnosti zborovodij, ki vpliva na motivacijo otrok za petje v šolskem zboru. Pomembna dejavnika motivacije sta tudi nastopanje in tekmovanje, zato so v diplomski nalogi predstavljena območna srečanja otroških in mladinskih zborov, regijska srečanja in tekmovanja, državno tekmovanje v Zagorju ob Savi in mednarodno tekmovanje otroških in mladinskih pevskih zborov v Celju. Opisani so tudi pogoji za udeležbo, programske usmeritve in merila priznanj. V raziskovalnem delu je predstavljenih deset Območnih srečanj otroških in mladinskih pevskih zborov v območju Upravne enote Radlje ob Dravi. Empirični del je nastal v želji ugotoviti odnos otrok na območju Upravne enote Radlje ob Dravi do zborovskega petja in razkriti dejavnike, ki vplivajo na ta odnos.

Title:	CHORAL SINGING AS A FACTOR OF COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN: SITUATION ANALYSIS IN THE AREA RADLJE OB DRAVI
Abstract:	At the beginning of the diploma thesis, there is a short introduction to the historical development of Slovenian music and a description of the development of art vocal music. This is followed by representing the role of music in children development and its importance for it, enumerating positive influences of choral singing on a growing child. Today, numerous factors, introduced in the diploma thesis, contribute to a lesser degree of interest for choral singing among children, which is why this thesis also deals with ways of motivating children for such an activity. Emphasis is given on the importance of skills and characteristics of choirmasters, who can motivate children to sing in a school choir. Two important motivation factors are performances and competitions, which is why a part of the diploma thesis deals with regional meetings of children's and youth choirs, provincial meetings and competitions, the national competition in Zagorje ob Savi as well as with the international competition of children's and youth choirs in Celje. There is a description of criteria for participation, programme directions and criteria for award winning. In the research part of the diploma thesis, ten regional meetings of children's and youth choirs in the area of the administrative unit Radlje ob Dravi are presented. The empirical part aims at establishing children's relation to choral singing in the area of the administrative unit Radlje ob Dravi and discovering the factors influencing this relation.
