Abstract:V diplomski nalogi, z naslovom Primerjalna analiza spletnih strani petih večjih živilskih trgovin, smo analizirali spletne strani petih živilskih trgovin, za katere menimo, da so v Sloveniji najbolj obiskane.

Title:A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE WEB PAGES OF FIVE LARGER GROCERY STORES
Abstract:In this diploma thesis, entitled Comparative Analysis of Web Pages of Five Larger Grocery Stores, we analyzed the web pages of five grocery stores which we believe are the most visited. In the introductory part, we collected numerous definitions of electronic commerce to arrive at a good understanding of the term and described its development, which began already in the 1960s. We also described the types of electronic commerce, the pros and cons, security and potential risks, its economic influences, dynamics and perspectives, and legal regulation in Slovenia. Electronic commerce has many advantages such as easier access to useful information, lower costs, less possibility for mistakes, market globalization etc. The most important aspect of electronic commerce is security and data protection. This is achieved by using various security services and methods such as cryptography, encoding, electronic signatures, passwords, digital certificates, firewalls, smart cards and others. When it comes to electronic commerce it is also important to mention e-mail which is the most widely used method of electronic messaging and enables quick and cost effective message exchange. In the second part, we defined the term web page, described different types of web pages, its elements and structure, and determined web page evaluation criteria. Similarly as with electronic commerce, we have here also enumerated the advantages for users. One of the types of web pages we will look more closely at is an online store, which is also offered by Mercator. An online store enables the purchase of products online. The advantages for customers include a wider assortment of products, lower prices, the comfort of shopping at home, delivery, better informedness and others. The last part of the thesis is a comparative analysis of web pages of five larger grocery stores based on the evaluation criteria described in the second part. The five grocery stores included in the analysis are Mercator d.d., Tuš d.d., Spar d.o.o., Lidl d.o.o. and Hofer d.o.o. To evaluate the quality of a web page we used different web page design criteria such as criteria for layout, content, technologies, interactivity, navigation and usefulness. We also compared the variety of products being offered since we believe this is crucial information for the customers and other web page visitors.
