Abstract:
To diplomsko delo vsebuje osnovne podatke o krožnih križiščih in prometni varnosti v njih. V prvem delu je opisana zgodovina krožnih križišč v Sloveniji in v svetu. V nadaljevanju so predstavljeni osnovni pojmi krožnih križišč in njihova delitev. Nato se osredotočamo na varnost v krožnih križiščih ter konfliktne točke. Primerjana so trikraka ter štirikraka klasična in krožna nesemaforizirana križišča. V zaključku so predstavljena krožišča v Šentjurju ter varnost v njih.

ROAD SAFETY IN ROUNDABOUTS AND ROUNDABOUTS IN ŠENTJUR
Abstract:
This study contains basic information on roundabouts and traffic safety in them. The first part describes the history of roundabouts in Slovenia and abroad. In the following there are presented basic informations about roundabouts and there divisions. Then we focus on safety in roundabouts and conflict points. There are comparisons betweeen three-and four-round classical and unsignalized intersections. In conclusion are presented roundabouts in Šentjur and security in them.
