Title:ANALYSIS OF SOLAR MODULES
Abstract:With the rapid development of photovoltaic technologies, which by definition means a set of facilities and individual units that are necessary for the proper functioning of the whole photovoltaic system, there were also standards built, that have to be followed by manufacturers. If restricted to the photovoltaic modules, the manufacturer shall give technical details such as: peak power, voltage at peak power, the flow at peak power, the open circuit voltage and short-circuit flow. The manufacturers provide technical documentation and U-I characteristics of photovoltaic modules at different levels of solar radiation. To check if the photovoltaic modules work as the manufacturer claims, or if we compare different types of photovoltaic modules with each other, we have to take the U-I characteristics of the module. Nowadays there are several commercial instruments for use in photovoltaic technology. This also includes the instruments through which we can capture the U-I characteristics of the module. In our case, we used a commercial instrument HT I-V 400 for measuring the U-I characteristics of photovoltaic modules.
