Keywords:študentsko delo, motivacijski faktorji: sredstva za preživetje in financiranje študija, možnost lagodnega življenja, finančna neodvisnost od staršev, pridobivanje delovnih izkušenj, socialno mreženje, stik s potencialnimi delodajalci, gradnja osebnega delovnega profila, študentje Filozofske fakultete v Mariboru.

Title:STUDY OF MOTIVATIONAL FACTORS OF STUDENT WORK IN SLOVENIA
Abstract:The diploma paper refers to study of motivational factors of student work in Slovenia. However, only students of Faculty of Arts in Maribor are included in research. Five hypotheses have been tested on the basis of 226 completed questionnaires. All of them refer to importance of the factors, their mutual connection, influence of some other factors, and consequences of student work. It turned out that money from student work enables students to become financially independent and able to live comfortably. Besides, students are also interested in future employment and gaining some working-experience. On the other hand, social and economic statuses of students do not influence their interest in student work nor their concern about future employment. Success in studying does not depend upon frequency of working experience. The statements above show some changes as far as student work is concerned and coincides with the changes in our system of university education. Namely, the most important motives for students to work are no longer gaining some working experience as far as their study program is concerned, nor earning money to pay costs of studying. These are the reasons why the Government wants to limit student work in two ways – to accept a new law and to reform university education in Slovenia.
Keywords:student work, motivational factors: capital means (means to pay food, place to live and education), comfortable life, financial independence, gaining working experience, social advancement, recognizing potential future employers, building personal working profile, students of Faculty of Arts in Maribor
