Abstract:V diplomski nalogi predstavljam kompleksnost in pomen logotipov in grafičnih značilnosti blagovnih znamk s področja tekstilstva. Jedro diplomskega dela predstavlja analiza grafično- morfoloških značilnosti tekstilnih blagovnih znamk. V teoretičnem delu diplomskega dela natančneje opredeljujem pojma blagovna znamka in logotip. A kljub veliko različnim pravilom, kakšna naj bo vizualna podoba logotipa in kaj naj vsebuje, v večini primerov še vedno velja zlato pravilo: "manj je več". Enostavnejše logotipe si namreč hitreje zapomnimo in jih lažje prepoznamo.

Title:ANALYSIS OF GRAPHIC-MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF TEXTILE BRANDS
Abstract:In this thesis I am representing the complexity and meaning of logotypes and the graphical characteristics of brands from the field of textile industry. The core of this thesis represents the analysis of graphical morphological properties of textile brands. In the theoretical part of the thesis the terms "brand" and "logotype" are more accurately defined. For better understanding of the empirical part of the thesis I divided it into two parts. In the first part of the empirical part I explained the terms we stumble across in the analysis, and the second part is the analysis itself. The analysis includes thirty-five brand logotypes from the field of textile industry. Thirty of them are of Slovenian and the other five of foreign origin. In the analysis, I focused on the main integral elements that give the logotype its form and meaning. Therefore, I precisely divided and evaluated the logotypes in the analysis. I found out that both domestic and foreign logotypes differ between each other, because they are complexly composed from several elements, which offer numerous different design possibilities. Although there are several different rules about how a logotype should look like and what it should contain, mostly we still consider the golden rule "less is more", because simple logotypes are quicker to remember and easier to recognize.
