Otroci so v času anketiranja obiskovali osnovne šole v Obalno-kraški, Osrednjeslovenski in Podravski regiji. Povezanost prehranjevalnih navad in športne aktivnosti smo natančneje opredelili s Hi-kvadrat preizkusom. Rezultati kažejo, da v prehranskih navadah različno športno aktivnih otrok ni statistično značilnih razlik. Ugotavljamo, da športna aktivnost ni povezana s prehranjevalnimi navadami otrok

Title:CONNECTION BETWEEN NUTRITION AND SPORTING ACTIVITIES OF CHILDREN
Abstract:The main aim of the research was to find out whether nutritional habits of children and their physical activity are connected between each other. The sample included 166 children, 86 of them were girls and 80 were boys. There were 48 children in a group of low active children, 87 children in a middle active group and 31 children are in very active group. The children were from Obalno-kraška region, Osrednjoslovenska region and Podravska region. In order to assess children`s eating habits and physical activity, questionnaire from »Otrok med vplivi sodobnega življenjskega sloga« research project has been used. Questionnaire consisted of two parts, first part was for the parents and the second part was related to their children. The statistically important differences were determined on the risk level of 0,05. The differences in the physical activity and nutritional habits of children were determined with Hi-square test. Results show that there is no statistically significant differences in nutrition habits between low and very active children. This data suggests that sport activity is not connected with nutritional habits of children.
