Abstract:V odnos otroka do glasbe je potrebno vložiti veliko truda in motivacije, tako otroku privzgajamo kultivirano poslušanje.

Title:CHILDREN'S MUSIC IN SHOPPING CENTERS
Abstract:A lot of effort and motivation are needed so that child's relationship to music is established, for example, to impart cultivated music to a child. A child is taught how to listen to music in so called concentrated study time of the day. We hear children's music more and more in shopping centres or we even witness these music events for children. The theoretical part of diploma work presents some well-known musical performers for children, and my musical journey which I have created along with my husband Marko Repnik. The offer of musical events for children in shopping centres and music objectives are also briefly presents in this part. In the empirical part, we present a study which was conducted by a questionnaire on a sample of one hundred adults. We wanted to determine whether children's events bring more people into the shopping centres or if these people then return again and again. The results have shown that adults mostly come to see these events in shopping centres with children between the age of 5 and 8 years. We found that adults who have girls visit centres more often, yet there is no difference in percentage of boys’ and girls' participation in these events. The reason for this could be the small size of our sample, as it is known that girls are more involved in musical activities, such as singing in school choir, dancing in dance groups etc.
