Abstract:S pojmom talent, njegovo strukturo in naravo se evropski misleci ukvarjajo že vrsto let, zato v strokovni literaturi zasledimo številna pojmovanja talentiranosti. V teoretičnem delu so osvetljeni postopek odkrivanja nadarjenih učencev v slovenskih osnovnih šolah, področje talentiranosti, plesna talentiranost ter odkrivanje in značilnosti plesno talentiranih učencev.

Title:SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF DANCE-TALENTED STUDENTS AT THE LOWER LEVEL OF PRIMARY EDUCATION
Abstract:The European intellectuals have been dealing with the term talent, its structure and nature for years, therefore numerous definitions of talent can be found in scientific writings. Talent depends on innate and in early childhood developed characteristics of an individual, while its realization depends on the conditions, provided to the individual by the environment. Therefore, the signs of talent and individual talents must be recognized at an early age. The aim of the dissertation is to closely examine the field of dance talent and to present the criteria for the identification and evaluation of dance-talented students as well as to determine, whether these criteria are typical of dance-talented students at the lower level of primary education. Moreover, the dissertation tries to establish, whether there are differences in characteristics of dance-talented students according to sex and educational period. The theoretical part of the dissertation highlights the identification procedure of talented students in Slovene elementary schools, the field of talent, dance talent and the identification and characteristics of dance-talented students. It is followed by the empirical part, in which the descriptive non-experimental method of empiric pedagogical research was used. The sample includes 238 students from first to fifth grade. The Mann-Whitney test showed statistically significant sex differences in favour of boys in criteria such as physical control, movement coordination and the harmony of movement with music. In case of educational period, the statistically significant differences appeared in movement quality and originality of creative motifs. It was also determined that the applied criteria are expressed above average in dance-talented students.
