Abstract:
Sistemi za podporo odločanju so v sodobnem poslovanju pomemben faktor obstoja podjetij na lokalnem in globalnem trgu. Osnova teh sistemov so podatkovne baze namenjene analizi podatkov. Cilj diplomske naloge je opisati značilnosti podatkovnih baz s stališča podatkovnega skladiščenja ter primerjavale-teh. V naslednjih vrsticah bodo opisane značilnosti podatkovnih baz, ki se uporabljajo za analitične sisteme. Na osnovi svetovno znanih analiz podatkovnih skladišč in analizo slovenskega trga so izbrani naslednji produkti za analizo, Oracle Exadata, IBM DB2, Netezza TwinFin in Sybase IQ15. Za omenjene produkte bodo podane osnovne karakteristike posameznega produkta, njihova arhitektura in perfomance, ki so pomembne za analitične sisteme. Rezultat diplomske naloge je primerjalna analiza izbranih produktov s stališča tehnoloških in ekonomskih lastnosti.

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF DATABASES FROM THE POINT OF DATAWAREHOUSING
Abstract:
Business intelligence systems are now a day very important factor of modern companies on local and global market. Without databases for data-warehousing existing of those systems is not possible. Goal of this piece of paper is to explain new databases from the point of data-warehousing and comparative analysis of them. Next lines explain concepts of databases which are used for analytical systems. Next products, Oracle Exadata, IBM DB2, Netezza TwinFin and Sybase IQ15, are selected, base on world researches on data-warehouse databases and experiences from Slovenian market. Result of this article is comparative analysis of selected products from technological and economics point of view.
