Iz obsežnega opusa umetnikovih likovnih del so v diplomskem delu izpostavljene prav njegove risbe s kavo, z namenom analize njihovega tehničnega, motivnega in simbolnega ozadja.

Title:DRAWINGS WITH COFFEE, FROM MIRSAD BEGIĆ TO MY OWN WORKS
Abstract:A diploma paper entitled “Drawings with coffee, From Mirsad Begič to My Own Works”, is a result of admiration and a great interest in the works of art by the artist Mirsad Begič, years of my own research of his work, exploring the history of coffee and its role in society and my practical art creating of coffee. The purpose of the research and writing of the theoretical treatment of Begić’s drawings with coffee was mainly in a more in-depth observer’s understanding of his very interesting, rich, unusual and mysterious works of art, which are full of some kind of spiritual respect for the ancient high cultures, a distant past and mysticism, and they remind us of the world we forgot long ago. Among the artist’s extensive complete works of art, the drawings with coffee are exposed in this diploma paper for the purpose of analyzing their technical, motif and symbolic background. The disclosure and understanding of Mirsad Begič’s techniques of art creating with coffee in particular were a prerequisite for the creation of my own works of art, coffee paintings, which are presented in the last chapter. Besides discussing coffee as an art medium, at first it was necessary to find out about the origin of the term, a material, historical and social background of coffee in its primary function as a drink.
Keywords:coffee, a coffee house, a ritual, drawings, Bosnia, Egypt, a funeral, coffee paintings
