Title:OPTIMAL CONFIGURATION PLANNING AND THE ANALYSIS OF FLOW AND PRESSURE CONDITIONS OF THE HEATING SYSTEM IN CASE OF CONNECTION TO TET
Abstract:Powerplant Trbovlje (TET) is an electric power facility, which at the moment only produces electrical energy. By abstracting a certain amount of steam at the medium and low-pressure part of the steam turbine and by condensation of this steam in two consecutive condensers it would be possible to assure thermal energy as well. Through the stipulated heating system, it would be used to supply heating systems of Trbovlje and Hrastnik. The pressure drops in flow system, especially if it is this extensive, are of great importance for the final determination of the system dimensions. Incorrect pipe's dimension determination has as a consequence too high or too low pressure drops and consequently higher operating costs or operation disruptions. To determine the flow and pressure drop rates in the flow system correctly, to accelerate solving the mathematic model and to find a solution, an approach to solving this with a known method of linear network theory that gives results that have a characteristic of fast convergence and of unnecessary assumption of alleged flow is given. The application of mathematic model, which can be solved by a computer programme, is used in the further research, related to the connection of the TET thermal source to the heating system of the Trbovlje municipal heating network.
Keywords:Effective energy use, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, municipal heating network, heating system, flow and pressure analysis
