Podane so narečne značilnosti anketiranih področij, tj. dolinsko podnarečje in madžarski krajevni narečni govor. Zaključila sem, da so govorne situacije res bistven dejavnik za govorno sporazumevanje.

Title:THE USE OF SOCIAL TYPES OF LANGUAGE AMONG THE PUPILS IN THE BILINGUAL AREA AT THE BORDER WITH HUNGARY
Abstract:In its first part, the graduation thesis titled Raba socialnih zvrsti jezika med dijaki dvojezičnega območja ob meji z Madžarsko (The Use of Social Types of Language among the Pupils in the Bilingual Area at the Border with Hungary) deals with the theoretical starting points. The thesis presents a model of bilingual education and its organisation in the institutions of lower, middle and higher education, and the bilingual media in the Prekmurje region. The characteristics of dialects of the studied areas are presented – the so called “dolinsko narečje” (a subdialect of the Prekmurje dialect) and the Hungarian local dialect. The thesis explains the terms like bilingual speaker, linguistic switching, linguistic adoption and interferences that the speakers of both languages face. In the continuation, the thesis more clearly defines the terms, linked to the social varieties of the language (literary language, non-literary language, and jargon). I examined the occurrence of the exercises in student books for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years, with respect to the established goals in the curriculum for the Slovene-Hungarian bilingual high schools. The use of social varieties of language was researched among the high school students from the bilingual high school in Lendava. The questionnaire revealed which variety of language the students use with respect to their mother tongue, and specific circumstances. I came to the conclusion that situations are truly a decisive factor in spoken communication.
