Abstract:
Rogaška Slatina je zdravilišče z večstoletno tradicijo in eden pomembnejših turističnih krajev v Sloveniji. Diplomsko delo obravnava analizo vpliva turizma na razvoj občine Rogaška Slatina, v zadnjem desetletju. V prvih poglavjih so prikazane naravnogeografske in družbeno geografske značilnosti obravnavanega območja ter opisana obdobja zgodovinskega razvoja zdravilišča. Predstavljen je obseg turističnega prometa v Rogaški Slatini s poudarkom na zadnjem desetletju ter opisana turistična ponudba zdravilišča. Predstavljena je tudi primerjava z nekaterimi drugimi zdraviliškimi kraji. V drugem delu so prikazani geografski učinki turističnega razvoja in vpliv turizma na prostorski razvoj.

THE IMPACT OF TOURISM ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF ROGAŠKA SLATINA IN THE LAST DECADE
Abstract:
Rogaška Slatina is one of the most important health resorts in Slovenia with a long-standing tradition. The thesis is analysing the impact of tourism on the development of Rogaška Slatina in the last decade. The first chapters provide geographical description of examined area and historical eras of health resort’s development. It portrays the extent of tourist turnover with the emphasis on its characteristics in the last decade and describes tourist supplies offered in the health resort. It also presents some attributes of Rogaška Slatina compared to other health resorts in Slovenia. The second part of the thesis presents demographic, economic and spatial effects of tourism on the region.
