Abstract:Diplomska naloga obravnava razvoj programske rešitve, namenjene podpori trgovskim potnikom na terenu. Aplikacija omogoča uporabniku hitro in učinkovito zbiranje naročil.

Abstract:This diploma assignment deals with commercial software support application for sales representatives and their fieldwork. It is particularly designed for sales representatives who collect their orders while visiting their clients. The main objective of this application is to fasten the sales process from incoming orders to invoices issued. Sales representatives are usually collecting the received orders on the special forms which are usually made and written on pieces of paper. Completed forms are then delivered to the main office within a day or two. An office clerk than entered the order into the ERP system which triggered the preparation of the shipment in the warehouse. The invoice can be issued after the signed delivery confirmation comes back to the company, and is also signed from the buyer. The assignment presents objectives and methods, used in the development of the application, and problems that we encountered and solved. The application provides the sales representative’s with access to all important information about their clients, such as previous orders, deliveries etc. We also described how this application is actually used and how the sales representatives are working with it. It allows them to collect the orders quickly and efficiently, and orders can be printed out right after the entry. To develop the application, we used Visual Studio.NET I, Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5, which is designed to work with databases stored on mobile phones, PDAs and other mobile devices.
