Abstract:V diplomskem delu so v teoretičnem delu predstavljeni mediji in njihov vpliv na otroke.

Title:CHILDREN AND MEDIA
Abstract:The theoretical part of the thesis presents media in general and their influence on children. Furthermore, it defines media literacy and accessibility, as well as production of messages in different forms, and media education with the primary role of teaching children media literacy and developing an attitude towards media. What follows is an overview of media education in primary school curriculums. The empirical part presents a research on the frequency, amount, quality of use and popularity of different media, both in the schoolchildren's home and school environment. The research took place in third and fifth grade of primary school and gave insight into relations between children and the media and into existing differences among the pupils of different gender and age. We have determined that pupils use media on a daily basis at home and would like to use media more also in the classroom environment. The pupils have chosen internet as the most important among different kinds of media (TV, internet, radio, press).
