Abstract:V zadnjih letih je svet zajela huda globalna finančna in gospodarska kriza.

Title:EUROPEAN PROGRESS MICROFINANCE FACILITY
Abstract:In recent years, the world has fallen victim to a major global financial and economic crisis. In the efforts to lessen its negative effects, the European Union adopted and launched a special European Progress Microfinance Facility for employment and social inclusion. It aims to increase the accessibility of microfinance services to individuals and microenterprises, which are already part of the so called endangered groups and are facing the threat of social exclusion in addition to being the ones most hard hit by this crisis. The aim of this paper is to, in addition to glimpsing over the nature and effects of the current crisis, analyze the state of microfinance and its relevant legislature in European Union, and to also introduce the newfound European Progress Microfinance Facility.
Keywords:Financial and economic crisis, microfinance, microfinance regulation, European Progress Microfinance Facility
