Abstract:	Večja varnost podatkov in informacij v računovodskem servisu zmanjša tveganje poslovanja, poveča zaupanje strank v računovodski servis in njihovo delo, zmanjša tveganje pred vdorom v bazo podatkov, zmanjša tveganje pred razkritjem podatkov. Za zagotavljanje varnosti podjetja je potrebno upoštevati veljavno zakonodajo, predvsem Zakon o varovanju osebnih podatkov, Zakon o elektronskem poslovanju in druge zakonske predpise. Informacijska varnost v računovodskem servisu pomeni varstvo podatkov in informacijskih sistemov pred nezakonitim dostopom, uporabo, razkritjem, ločitvijo, spremembo ali uničenjem. Razlagamo jo kot zaupnost, neokrnjenost in razpoložljivost podatkov ne glede na njihovo obliko: elektronsko, tiskano ali katero drugo. V delu diplomskega seminarja presojamo varovanje informacij in podatkov v računovodskem servisu, ki zagotavlja dolgotrajno delovanje servisa, zaupanje strank, omejitev poslovne škode. Za izboljšanje varovanja informacij in podatkov je zelo pomembno poleg zapisane varnostne politike tudi njeno izvajanje in spremljanje njene učinkovitosti.

Title:	DATA AND INFORMATION SECURITY ASSESSMENT IN AN ACCOUNTING FIRM
Abstract:	The increased security of data and information in an accounting firm reduces the risks of business operations, increases the trust that the customers put into an accounting firm and its work, as well as diminishes the risk of database hacking and information disclosure. In order to ensure the company security, the legislation in place has to be taken into account, especially the Personal Data Protection Act, Electronic Commerce Act and other statutory provisions. Accounting firm information security entails the protection of data and information systems from illegal access, use, disclosure, separation, tampering or destruction. We can refer to it as data confidentiality, integrity and availability regardless of their form (electronic, printed or other). The following diploma seminar focuses on the information and data security in an accounting firm, ensuring the long term operation of the firm, customer trust and business damage control. In order to safeguard the information and data it is vital not only to set out the security policy, but also to implement it and monitor its effectiveness.
