Abstract:
V diplomski nalogi smo preučili široko paleto možnosti povezovanja Silverlight aplikacij z različnimi komunikacijskimi tehnologijami. Komunikacija predstavlja most med zmogljivim uporabniškim vmesnikom na strani klienta in podatkovnimi viri in multimedijskimi vsebinami na strani strežnika. S primerjavo in ključnimi značilnostmi sta predstavljeni tudi dve sorodni tehnologiji, JavaFX in Adobe Flex. Predstavljeni principi so nazorno prikazani s praktičnimi primeri v Silverlightu, ki demonstrirajo delovanje predstavljenih konceptov.

DEVELOPMENT OF RICH WEB APPLICATIONS USING SILVERLIGHT PLATFORM AND DATA SUPPORTED WEB SERVICES
Abstract:
In this thesis we explore a wide range of connection possibilities with different communication technologies of Silverlight applications. Communication is a bridge between the powerful user interfaces on the client-side and data sources and multimedia content on the server-side. Two related technologies, JavaFX and Adobe Flex, are presented and compared with key features. To demonstrate main principles and concepts examples featuring them were implemented in the Silverlight framework.
