Abstract:V teoretičnem delu diplomske naloge smo predstavili razvoj govora, dejavnike razvoja govora, otrokov razvoj ob igri z lutko, lutko nasploh, komunikacijo v igri z lutko, pomen lutke za verbalno izraţanje otrok in lutko kot motivacijsko sredstvo pri usmerjeni aktivnosti – jeziku.

Title:THE INFLUENCE OF THE PUPPET ON THE SPEECH DEVELOPMENT IN THE PRESCHOOL PERIOD
Abstract:In the theoretical part of my diploma work, we presented the speech development , the factors of the speech development, child's development through a play with the puppet, the puppets in general, the game communication with the puppets, the significance of the puppets for the verbal expression and the puppet as a tool motivator for targeted activity –the language. In the empirical work, we presented the data obtained in the questionnaire where we wanted to determine whether a majority of playrooms have a special puppet corner, or if the children are to be encouraged to use the puppets. Another thing that interested us was if the educators take part in the children's game, or if the educators often reach for the puppets to help them in communication. Then if a child can speak with the help of using puppets, or a child using puppets can improve the speech and enrich the vocabulary. We were interested in the different existence of the puppets in the first and second age period, and in the combined groups. We found out that a 50 percent of playrooms have a special puppet corner. The fact, that the educators do not use the puppets to help in communication did not surprise us but we hoped that more educators will answer in the questionnaire with the chosen answer conserning using puppets with »often«. It surprised us that all the educators do not consider using puppets as an improvement of the speech and vocabulary enrichment.
