Abstract:	Vzgojno izobraževalni sistem v Sloveniji in v ostalih modernih državah temelji na načelih demokratičnosti, avtonomnosti in enakih možnosti. Prav ta načela določajo splošni okvir za preoblikovanje javnega sistema vzgoje in izobraževanja in so utemeljena v človekovih pravicah in pojmu pravna država. Skladno z načeli in teoretičnimi izhodišči kurikularne prenove so v Beli knjigi o vzgoji in izobraževanju v Republiki Sloveniji deklarirani splošni cilji osnovne šole, ki so usmerjeni k polnemu razvoju človekove osebnosti in k utrjevanju spoštovanja človekovih pravic in temeljnih svoboščin. Osnovna šola mora »pospeševati« razumevanje, strpnost in solidarnost med vsemi ljudmi, narodi, rasami in verskimi skupinami. Na kakšen način in kako uspešno se v osnovne šole vključujejo človekove pravice, pa smo si zastavili kot raziskovalno vprašanje, kjer smo se osredotočili na kurikularno prenovo osnovnega šolstva, implementacijo človekovih pravic na posamezni ravni vzgojno-izobraževalnega sistema (na ravni države, ravni šole in ravni učitelja). Pri tem smo upoštevali tudi vrste kurikula. V uradnih kurikulih je vključevanje človekovih pravic ena izmed temeljnih vrednot, ki so del kurikularne prenove nacionalnega kurikula. V doktorski disertaciji smo v empiričnem delu raziskave analizirali uradni in dejanski kurikul ter vključevanje in/ali implementacijo človekovih pravic v le-te, hkrati pa nas je zanimalo vključevanje in/ali implementacija človekovih pravic v prikriti kurikul na ravni učitelja. Učenje človekovih pravic lahko koristno prispeva k oblikovanju in usposabljanju demokratičnega in aktivnega državljana. Vnos človekovih pravic na vsa področja izobraževanja pomeni vsebinsko obogatitev celotnega vzgojno-izobraževalnega dela.

Title:	SOCIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT OF PRIMARY EDUCATION IN THE CONCEPT OF HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION
Abstract:	Education system in Slovenia and in modern countries is based on the principles of democracy, autonomy and equal opportunities. These principles are the general framework for the reform of the public education system and founded in the concepts of human rights and the rule of law. In accordance with the principles and theoretical background the White Paper on Education in the Republic of Slovenia declares general objectives of primary education, which are directed towards the full development of human personality and the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. Primary schools must "promote" understanding, tolerance and solidarity among all peoples, nations, racial and religious groups. Our research question is how and how effectively primary schools integrate human rights education. We have focused on the curricular reform of primary education and the integration/implementation of human rights at an individual level of the education system (the state level, school level and teacher’s level). In doing so, we have taken into account forms of the curriculum. In official curricula the integration/implementation of human rights is one of the fundamental values which are part of the reform of the national curriculum. With an empirical study of doctoral dissertation we have analysed the official and the actual curriculum and the implementation of human rights in the latter. At the same time we were interested in integrating/implementing human rights in the hidden curriculum at teacher's level. Human rights teaching can contribute to the creation and training of democratic and active citizens. Integration of human rights in all areas of education will substantially enrich the entire educational work.
