Title:WEB PORTALS FOR E-BUSINESS AMONG THE COMPANIES
Abstract:The aim of the diploma paper is to fully determine the function of web portals for the purpose of electronic commerce among companies. Web portals must be considered as a part of an integrated business formation system. As organization information subsystems they are equally important as for example systems which support the execution of basic business processes within the company. Electronic business as a form of direct marketing business within the companies is not a mystery any more, since it's becoming an increasingly important part of global economy. Due to its simplicity, low cost, user friendliness and many other benefits, it will soon become a prevailing way of commerce. If computer and internet use used to bring a company competitive advantage in the past, this isn't the case today. Nowadays a company without electronic support cannot exist in the business world since it is not competitive. There are various forms of electronic business, among which B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Company) or (Business to Consumer) are the most important ones. The speed of business, the number of customers and markets beyond national, temporal and physical boundaries, increase with e-commerce, whereas article and service prices drop due to lower costs. Companies are still not fully aware that e-business has to become a long-term orientation of the company. This will benefit the growth and the success of a company in the increasingly demanding markets. Managers should see e-commerce as a challenge for the organization and structure of their own companies.
