Abstract:V diplomski nalogi ţelimo predstaviti koncept ekološkega oblikovanja izdelkov.

Title:Ecodesign and packaging waste problem
Abstract:In our diploma work we want to present the concept of ecodesign of products. Ecodesign is a concept which aim is to introduce the ecological aspects to the processes of designing and developing products as soon as possible. Processes of ecodesign lead to optimal usefulness for products with minimal use of resources. At the same time they minimize negative influences on the environment throughout the entire life cycle of the product. We will describe the process, strategies and legal grounding for ecodesign. The concept of ecodesign is also being introduced on the field of packing material by many companies. They are striving that their packing material would have a minimal effect on the environment in the entire life cycle. In the life cycle there is also a phase of use and removing and the companies have a limited influence on that. The end of packing material is still dependent on the behaviour of users and consumers. Ecodesign of packing material loses a great part of its purpose if the packing material after being used appears among mixed communal waste. We will focus on the consumer’s role with handling the packing material and on the factors that influence his behaviour. Effective educating and informing is the most important factor that helps to change the consumers’ behaviour. Effect is growing with the frequency of educating and informing.
