Abstract:	V javni upravi je temeljno načelo usmerjenost k uporabnikom, ki mu mora slediti tudi novi javni management. V nalogi predstavljamo uvedbo nove storitve na Upravni enoti Krško, s katero smo našo storitev pribliţali uporabnikom. V prvem poglavju predstavljamo osnove managementa in naloge, ki jih managerji izvajajo in so ključne za uspeh organizacije, opredeljujemo management v profitnih organizacijah in v javni upravi ter razliko med njima. V drugem poglavju predstavljamo okolje, kjer smo uvedli novo storitev, to je javni sektor in upravne enote. V nalogi je upravna enota tista organizacija, kjer uvajamo novo storitev. Pomembno vlogo pri uvedbi predstavlja management, tako v tem poglavju predstavljamo njegove pristope in aktivnosti. Ključni del naloge je nova storitev in aktivnosti managementa ob njeni uvedbi. Uspešnost managementa ob uvedbi nove storitve bomo analizirali z anketo zadovoljstva strank z novo storitvijo. Na koncu pa z intervjujem vrhovnega managemnta pokazali njihov pogled na uvedbo.

Title:	THE ROLE AND IMPORTANCE OF MANAGEMENT IN INTRODUCING NEW SERVICES AT THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT
Abstract:	The basic principle of public administration is orientation to its users. New public management must follow this principle as well. The diploma thesis presents a new service which was introduced at Krško administrative unit in order to approach its users. The first chapter presents the bases of management and duties managers carry out and are essential for the success of an organization. There are definitions of management in profit organizations and in public administration as well as the differences between them. The second chapter deals with the environment where the new service was introduced. It includes public sector and administrative units. An administrative unit is an organization where a new service is implemented. An important role in this implementation goes to management. The thesis also mentions its approaches and activities. The key chapter of the thesis is introduction of the new service and activities of management at its implementation. The success of management will be examined by users' satisfaction with the new service. They will get a questionnaire. The final part is an interview with the top management.
