Abstract:Vsakdo, kdorkoli že je in karkoli počne, ima pravico do življenja in vzgoje v družinskem in širšem družbenem okolju.

Abstract:Everyone, whoever he is and whatever he does has the right to life and education in family and wider social environment. With this in mind we are starting to focus the reader in an ethical stance, and to understand our efforts easier for a better tomorrow. In Slovenian society the Roma live as minority population. In a time of intense integration we come into contact with them in everyday life. The question arises, how to create a relationship that both sides will have a positive effect. This is also our research question in the thesis entitled as "Roma and Roma children in kindergarten Metlika. We work in Kindergarten Metlika and manage the department of Roma children. In the introductory part we describe the Roma culture, their lifestyle, and the problems of the Roma community. We also presented the Roma in Metlika, especially the Roma children. We were also interested in how the education of Roma children is organized in Kindergarten Metlika, and what is the opinion on that subject from the view of the of the Roma children parents. The study, which was conducted through questionnaires, is involving Roma parents whose children attend or attended Kindergarten Metlika. The results show that the children's parents are very pleased with the Childhood center Metlika. They realize that education is very important for their children's further development. We came to the conclusion that the lifestyle of the Roma community is changing. They want to socialize and adjust their lives to the general society. Educators in kindergarten Metlika are willing to establish good relations between their clients and their parents for a better quality of life for all.
