Abstract:	Rent a car podjetja se s svojo dejavnostjo uvrščajo med ponudnike javnih prevoznih sredstev. V podjetjih je mogoče najeti različne vrste cestnih vozil, posledično je njihova dejavnost v cestnem prometnem sistemu vedno bolj razvita in aktivna. Podjetja so pomemben člen tudi v turistično-potovalni panogi. Rent a car panoga se je začela razvijati kmalu po začetku masovne proizvodnje vozil po celem svetu. V Republiki Sloveniji je panoga še v razvoju, največja slovenska rent a car podjetja pa so tako posledično podružnice ali franšize globalnih rent a car podjetij. Podjetja morajo biti logistično dobro organizirana in vodena, da poslujejo s čim manjšimi stroški ter da pri tem dosežejo čim boljšo izkoriščenost vseh vozil, ki jih imajo v voznem parku. V diplomski nalogi smo s pomočjo terenskega dela in anketiranja večjih slovenskih rent a car podjetij poskušali ugotoviti ter analizirati probleme, s katerimi se podjetja redno srečujejo.

Title:	RENT A CAR COMPANY IN TRANSPORT SYSTEM
Abstract:	With their activities rent a car companies classify as the providers of public transport. Because it is possible to rent all sorts of vehicles, is their activity in the traffic system more and more developed and active. The companies also take an important part in tourism. Rent a car industry soon began to develop after the beginning of the mass production of vehicles around the world. In the Republic of Slovenia, where the development of the industry still goes on, can the largest rent a car companies be branches or franchises of the global rent a car companies. The companies must be logistically well organized and managed in such a way, so that they officiate with the lowest costs possible and that they achieve the highest possible exploitation of all the vehicles they have in stock. In our undergraduate thesis we have, with the help of fieldwork and interviewing of major rent a car companies in Slovenia, tried to figure out and analyse the problems, with which the companies have to deal with.
