Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Jezikovno vprašanje na slovenskih taborih obravnavam razvoj slovenskega knjižnega jezika do nastanka taborov, boj za individualnost in enakopravnost slovenščine v habsburški monarhiji oziroma kasnejši Avstro-Ogrski, časopise, ki so pomagali širiti idejo Zedinjene Slovenije, taborske resolucije in retoriko govorov posameznih govornikov. Kot gradivo so mi služili omenjeni trije časopisi.

Title:Question of language at Slovenian meetings
Abstract:The diploma paper entitled The Issue of Language in Slovenian Meetings deals with the development of the Slovenian literary language until the formation of the meetings, the struggle for individuality and equality of the Slovene language inside the Habsburg monarchy and later in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the newspapers which helped carry the message of a united Slovenia, the resolutions of the meetings and the rhetoric of individual speakers. It has been found that in the time of the meetings the national-political issue is matched with the linguistic issue. All resolutions carry clearly stated demands which the speakers on the meetings communicated to the people bravely, decisively and explicitly. They wanted the realisation of their demands and not only empty promises of the government. By getting the people on their side they were more powerful together; beside the meeting movement an important role was also played by the newspapers Slovenski narod, Slovenski gospodar, and Novice, which reported clearly about the meetings' speeches and the events on these mass political gatherings. The paper focuses on the first Slovenian meeting in Ljutomer, the only meeting in the Posavje region in Sevnica and the biggest meeting in Slovenia in Vižmarje near Ljubljana. The analysis was conducted on fragments of speeches which were held on all three meetings by the following speakers: Valentin Zarnik, Radoslav Razlag and Josip Vošnjak. An additional analysis has been conducted on fragments of speeches of the central political figure in Slovenia Janez Bleiweis on the Vižmarje meeting and an important national awakening priest Božidar Raič on the Ljutomer meeting. The material was taken from the newspapers mentioned above.
Keywords:Meeting movement, the history of the Slovenian literal language in the 19th century, the Slovenian national issue, United Slovenia, resolutions, meeting speeches, meeting speakers, the Ljutomer meeting, the Sevnica meeting, the Vižmarje meeting, question of language at Slovenian meetings.
