Title:INFLUENCE OF SUPERVISION ON EMPLOYEES ON THEIR BEHAVIOR AND MOTIVAT ON AT WORK
Abstract:Control at work is a contemporary problem everybody is involved in. With ever diminishing trust between employers and employees, control is increasing, and with it also pressure in the workplace. This thesis examines the effect control has on human behaviour. It strives to find out how such pressure affects people and changes their behaviour; whether it affects them in a positive, motivating way, or in a negative way. The thesis also deals with legislation that regulates control, which every employee should be familiar with. In the workplace, these laws are often broken. The purpose and aim of this thesis was to recognize various reactions of people to pressures. Above all, it was to find out how employees respond to various forms of control and whether, and how, response is gender-specific. Employees working in different environments were analysed and a short test was made which involved the observation of behaviour both when subject to control and when not. The analysis showed control had a negative effect on employees, some of which claimed they would never grow accustomed to it. Control causes work-related stress and harms relations in the workplace. It may be categorised as mobbing. The analysis showed no difference in the negative effect of control on women compared to men. The thesis can help employees of any rank who face control on a daily basis.
