Abstract:V magistrski nalogi je prikazan proces izobraževanja, usposabljanja in izbora kandidatov za poklic vojaškega pilota. Zajet je celoten program šolanja, ki ga trenutno uporabljajo v Slovenski vojski za pridobivanje pilotov helikopterja in letal. Naloga zajema celotno pot, ki jo mora kandidat za pilota opraviti od trenutka, ko se po srednji šoli odloči za ta poklic, do trenutka ko izgubi status aktivnega pilota v SV ali se odloči za izhod iz sistema. Zaradi vojaškega okolja so prikazane tudi psihofizične zahteve, ki jih mora kandidat izpolnjevati pred nastopom častniškega in pilotskega dela izobraževanja in usposabljanja. Menim, da so dijaki, ki se odločijo za poklic vojaškega pilota premalo seznanjeni s samim izobraževanjem in karierno potjo pilota Slovenske vojske. Naloga vsebuje anketo, na podlagi katere smo ugotovili, da sistem karierne poti ne omogoča pilotu SV širokih možnosti za napredovanje, ker je število visokih častniških dolžnosti v letalskih enotah omejeno.

Title:THE CAREER OF A SLOVENIAN ARMED FORCES PILOT
Abstract:The thesis presents the process of education, training and selection of candidates for the profession of a pilot in the Slovenian Armed Forces (SAF) covering the whole program of schooling used to recruit rotary and fixed-wing aircraft pilots. The thesis follows the whole process the candidate has to go through and which starts when a secondary school student makes the decision to become a pilot in the armed forces, and continues to the moment when the pilot looses his flight status or decides to leave the system. Special psychophysical requirements related to the military environment that the candidate has to fulfill before entering the officer and pilot education and training are also presented. It might be said that students when deciding for the profession of pilot in the SAF lack information about the schooling and the pilot career itself in the SAF. A survey conducted among the pilots in the SAF is also included. One of the conclusions drawn from the survey is that the career system in the SAF does not give the pilot much possibility of promotion because the number of senior officer duties in the aviation units is limited.
