Abstract:	Pouk spoznavanja okolja predstavlja nadaljevanje in usmerjanje spontanega otroškega raziskovanja sveta in odkrivanja prepletenosti ter soodvisnost v pojavih in procesih v naravnem in družbenem okolju. Znanje, ki nastaja iz neposrednih izkušenj v okolju, se pri pouku poglablja in razširja. Zato je zelo pomembno, da si otroci v zgodnjih letih poučevanja pridobijo izkušnje in da uživajo v raziskovanju. Pomemben del raziskovanja naj bo pripovedovanje drugim, kaj vidijo, kaj mislijo in kaj so se naučili. Pomembno je, da si te izkušnje pridobijo preko konkretnih izkušenj, s konkretnimi situacijami in na konkretnem terenu. V diplomskem delu, ki je pred vami, smo želeli s študijo literature in empirično raziskavo med učitelji prvega triletja predstaviti dve pomembni življenjski okolji in njihovo vključevanje učencev v naravno okolje. Vzorec, na katerem je potekala raziskava, predstavlja 107 učiteljev prvega triletja. Podatke smo zbirali novembra in decembra 2010 na različnih šolah po Sloveniji. Dobljene rezultate smo analizirali in preverili naše hipoteze. Ugotovili smo, da se učitelji še v precejšnjem številu izogibajo poučevanja v gozdu in ob ribniku oziroma mlaki.

Title:	TEACHING OF NATURAL SCIENCE IN THE WOODS AND BY THE PAND OR PUDDLE IN THE LESSONS ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT
Abstract:	Environmental science lessons represents a continuation and direction of children's spontaneous exploration of the world and the discovery of the interconnectedness and interdependence of phenomena and processes in the natural and social environment. The knowledge generated from the direct experience in the environment, deepens and expands in lessons. It is therefore very important that children gather experiences in the early years of learning and that they enjoy exploring. An important part of the research should be telling others what they see, what they think and what they have learned. It is important that they obtain these experiences through practical experience with concrete situations and on concrete ground. In this thesis, which is before you, we want to present two important habitats and the involvement of pupils in their natural environment through a study of literature and an empirical survey among the teachers of the first triad. A model in which the survey was carried out represents 107 teachers of the first triad. Data were collected during November and December 2010 at various schools in Slovenia. The gathered results were analyzed and our hypotheses were tested. We found out that the teachers in a large number still avoid teaching in the forest and by the pond or puddle.
