| Abstract: | In my diploma thesis, the project of introducing and application of a standardised printing system in the Sava Group is described. The existing heterogeneous environment of local devices for the print-out of documents was connected. By consolidating devices and optimising their application, the work is carried out more efficiently, supervision over printing is improved, costs reduced, whereas the application and management are simplified. In planning a solution, the requirements of individual departments and their users, as well as security elements have been taken into consideration. The existing printing server operates in the Windows 2003 operation system. Based on the analysis, the Canon uniFLOW Output Manager software and multifunctional devices of the IR series of the same producer were introduced. Multifunctional devices provide options of printing, photocopying, optical identification of characters, scanning, sending and receiving documents via a facsimile. |
