Abstract:	V diplomskem delu z naslovom Premik od tradicionalne ženske vloge v likih Robin Hobb v The Farseer trilogiji in The Tawny Man trilogiji obravnavamo vloge žensk v fantastični literaturi ter kako so avtorji, kot je Robin Hobb, pričeli dvomiti v te vloge. Cilj je bil prikazati, kako je Hobbova v svojih knjigah spremenila vloge ženskih likov iz tradicionalnih v moderne in samostojne. Na kratko smo opisali fantastično literaturo kot žanr ter vpliv drugega feminističnega gibanja na spremembo ženskih vlog v fikciji. Da bi prikazali, kako so se ženske vloge spremenile, smo analizirali pet ženskih vlog iz zgoraj omenjenih trilogij ter navedli njihovo pomembnost za samo zgodbo. S pomočjo izvlečkov iz knjig smo uspešno prikazali, da je Hobbova dodelila ženskam vloge, ki presegajo tradicionalne vloge.

Title:	The Shift from the Traditional Feminine Role in Robin Hobb’s characters in her The Farseer Trilogy and The Tawny Man Trilogy
Abstract:	The diploma thesis with the title The Shift from the Traditional Feminine Role in Robin Hobb’s characters in her The Farseer Trilogy and The Tawny Man Trilogy, deals with the roles women have in fantasy and how these roles are being questioned by writers such as Robin Hobb. The goal was to show how Hobb changed the roles of her feminine characters from traditional to modern and independent. I briefly elaborated on fantasy as a genre and discussed the importance of the second feminist movement for changing the roles of women in fiction. In order to show how the roles of female characters were altered, I analysed the roles of five female characters from the two trilogies and their importance for the story. By presenting and elaborating on excerpts from the book, I was able to show that Hobb has given her characters roles that surpass the traditional roles women had.
