Abstract:
Raziskava obravnava pripravo predloga za novo in enotno programsko okolje uporabnika. Predlog je skladen s smernicami ITIL. Zapletena obstoječa povezava datotečnih sistemov za dostop do programskega paketa in podatkovnega strežnika, ki delujejo na sistemih Microsoft Windows in HP-Unix, je predstavljala za uporabnika in administratorja sistema velik problem. Za uporabo in vzdrževanja tega sistema so potrebna znanja o različnih operacijskih sistemih, uporabi programskega paketa Zuken, sistemski administraciji in arhiviranju podatkov. V nalogi so podani trije predlogi izboljšave. Preferirana je rešitev z odprtokodnim operacijskim sistemom distribucije Linux in programskim odjemalcem, ki je integriran v navideznem računalniku VMWare. Poleg izboljšane uporabniške izkušnje je učinek izboljšave zmanjšanje stroškov vzdrževanja in krajši čas za izvedbo posameznega projekta. Predstavljeni predlog ponuja tudi možnost nadaljnjega razvoja.

COMMON PROGRAM ENVIRONMENT USING ITIL GUIDELINES
Abstract:
This research proposes and justifies the framework for a new and unified user software environment. The proposal complies with ITIL guidelines. Complex existing links of file systems enable users to access the software package and database server on Microsoft Windows and HP-Unix operating systems. This indeed represent a major problem for users and systems administrators. The usage and system maintenance require wide knowledge and skills in different operating systems, application package Zuken, systems administration and data archiving. Three proposals for improvements are presented in this research. The preferred solution in based on open source Linux operating system and software client which is integrated within VMWare virtual machine. In addition to improved user experience, the effects are reduced maintenance costs and shorter time to market for new project realization. The proposal presented offers new opportunities for improvements.
