Skozi celotno opazovano obdobje je bil realni bilateralni in realni efektivni devizni tečaj norveške krone deležen apreciacijskih pritiskov. Norveška krona je stabilna in močna valuta in posledično država nima namena vstopiti v evroobmočje.

Title:BILATERAL AND EFFECTIVE EXCHANGE RATE IN NORWAY
Abstract:Norway is a county with a very strong economy. This fact can be seen in a high GDP and in a stable monetary policy, which targets a small inflation. Oil revenues present the majority of the governments revenues and because of that the government decided to establish a petroleum fund, which represents a way of saving for the future. Many analytics believe that the exchange rate of the Norwegian krone is strongly correlated with the fluctuations of the oil prices. In addition to this fluctuations labor market conditions have a significant role. The real bilateral exchange rate of the krone is an important factor for the country’s international comparison. This factor shows the competitiveness of Norway in comparison with other countries, while the real effective exchange rate is an even better indicator. Throughout the whole observed period the real bilateral exchange rate and the real effective exchange rate of the Norwegian krone were under appreciation pressures. The Norwegian krone is a very stable and strong currency and consequently Norway does not have any intention to enter the Eurozone.
Keywords:Nominal bilateral exchange rate, real bilateral exchange rate, nominal effective exchange rate, real effective exchange rate, Maastricht criteria.
