Abstract:	Diplomsko delo je sestavljeno iz dveh delov, in sicer iz teoretičnega in praktičnega dela. Prvi, teoretični del, natančno opisuje projekt, njegove definicije, vrste in kakšen je splošni življenjski ciklus projekta ter opis druge, nam najpomembnejše faze, faze zagona projekta. Slednja narekuje pravila in zahteve za izdelavo zagonske dokumentacije. V nadaljevanju sledi opis metod projektnega managamenta od prejetja naročila, analize vplivnih dejavnikov, planiranja ciljev, stroškov do pomembnosti časa izvedbe. Prvi del se zaključi z natančnim opisom teorije razvoja izdelka in njegovega življenjskega ciklusa ter povezavo z življenjskim ciklusom projekta. Drugi del s praktičnim prikazom podkrepi teoretični del in prikazuje uvedbo novega izdelka v podjetju Kovinoplastika Lož. S pomočjo metod projektnega managementa je projekt izpeljan od načrtovanja do proizvodnje.

Title:	PROJECT INITIATION DOCUMENT FOR NEW PRODUCT INITIATION IN KOVINOPLASTIKA LOŽ INC.
Abstract:	The thesis is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical and practical one. The first, theoretical part accurately describes the project, its definitions, what types are known, what is the common life cycle of the project and a description of the second, the most important phase of the project, the start-up phase. The last dictates the principles and requirements for making the start-up documentation. The following is a description of project managament methods from receiving orders, analysis of influential factors, planning objectives, costs to the importance of time performance. The first part concludes with a detailed description of the theory of product development and its life cycle and the relationship between the latter and the project's life cycle. The second part is the practical demonstration which reinforces the theory and displays new product initiation in Kovinoplastika Lož. Using project management methods, the project is executed from design to production.
