Abstract:	Pri pisanju diplomske naloge smo ugotovili, kako pomembne so raziskave in razvoj na univerzi in kakšno gospodarsko korist je možno pridobiti s prenosom industrijske lastnine. Ugotovili smo tudi, da je potrebna boljša osveščenost, razumevanje in spoštovanje industrijske lastnine in da lahko s poučevanjem študentov o podjetniškem vedenju in spretnostih veliko prispevamo k oblikovanju podjetniško naravnane družbe. Prenos tehnologij iz univerze v gospodarstvo je velik posel v Združenih državah Amerike. V nasprotju z ameriškim sistemom se univerzitetno patentiranje v Evropi zdi omejen pojav. Pri raziskovanju področja prenosa industrijske lastnine so določene analize pokazale, da pisarne za prenos tehnologij v Evropi ne sklepajo manjšega števila licenčnih pogodb kot pisarne v ZDA. Vendar pa ustvarijo precej manj prihodkov od licenčnin. Pisarne v ZDA naj bi imele zaposlene ljudi, ki so bolj izkušeni na področju komercializacije izumov in so bolj fleksibilni pri upravljanju s proračunskimi srdstvi pisarn za prenos tehnologij. Na Univerzi v Mariboru prenos znanja in tehnologij v gospodarsko prakso še ni na zadovoljivem nivoju. Vendar obstajajo mehanizmi inovacijskega okolja na Univerzi v Mariboru, ki predstavljajo dobre temelje za razvoj na tem področju v prihodnosti. Najpomembneje je, da univerza še naprej vzpostavlja aktivno in motivacijsko okolje, ki bo študente, profesorje, raziskovalce in podjetja spodbujalo k razmisleku in akciji na področju prenosa znanja in tehnologij.

Title:	ANALYSIS OF THE SITUATION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARIBOR AND COMPARISON WITH SOME OF THE MOST ADVANCED INNOVATIVE ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENTS
Abstract:	Making the research while writing the diploma work we have found out how importatnt are research and development at the university and how much economic benefit can be obtained from the transfer of industrial property. We have also found out that higher awareness, understanding and respect for intellectual property and teaching students about corporate behavior and skills can have a positive contribution to the creation of business-oriented society. Knowledge and technology transfer from universities to industry is big business in the United States. In contrast to the USA system, the university patenting in Europe seems to be a limited phenomenon. Our research of transfer of industrial property analysis has shown that the number of licensing agreements at technology transfer offices in Europe and in USA is almost the same. The technology transfer offices in Europe earn less revenue from licensing then the USA technology transfer offices. Offices in the USA have employed people who are more experienced in the commercialization of inventions and are more flexible in managing the budget of technology transfer offices. At the University of Maribor knowledge and technology transfer in economic practices is not yet on a satisfactory level. However, there are mechanisms of innovative environment at the University of Maribor, which represent a good basis for future development. Most importantly, the University continues to establish an active and motivating environment for students, professors, researchers and companies to promote action on knowledge and technology transfer.
