Abstract:V Sloveniji so suhe južine relativno dobro raziskane. V diplomskem delu smo preverjali možnosti vrednotenja konkretnih podatkov o razširjenosti šestih vrst rodu Leiobunum v Sloveniji za ekološko interpretacijo s pomočjo obdelave z orodji geografskega informacijskega sistema (GIS) in z uporabno javno dostopnih kartografskih plasti Agencije RS za okolje (ARSO). Najprej smo podatke o najdiščih prenesli v računalniško obliko, kjer smo s pomočjo GIS orodja Arc View 3.2 in prekrivanjem izbranih plasti ARSO pridobili statistične podatke o okoljskih dejavnikih glede na prostorsko razporejenost posameznih vrst.

Title:ECOLOGICAL EVALUATION OF LEIOBUNUM SPECIES (ARACHNIDA: OPILIONES) IN SLOVENIA USING GIS TOOLS
Abstract:Harvestmen (Opiliones) are relatively good researched in Slovenia. Their habitat data have not yet been adequately evaluated. In this sense, the investigators focus on why certain species inhabit exclusively or primarily specific habitats, and which physical characteristics of these habitats mostly affect their presence. Different technologies facilitate the data processing and visualization to determine the animal distribution within an area. In this work, we explored the possibility of evaluation of concrete distribution data of six Leiobunum species in Slovenia in ecological interpretation of their requirements by using geographical information system (GIS) and public available map layers of environmental data of the Slovenian Environment Agency. First, the collected locations data were transformed into a computer form using GIS tool Arc View 3.2. The intersections between selected layers and our data were used as statistical items referring to the environmental data with respect to the species distribution. Then the data were statistically analyzed by layers and the Shannon−Weaver index was calculated for areas ovelapped with species. We confirmed the hypothesis that the list of location data of harvestmen of the genus Leiobunum was in general compatible with the public available database of spatial data provided by the Slovenian Environment Agency, and enables a generalized ecological evaluation of species. The geographic distribution of the species of genus Leiobunum in Slovenia was presented. In general, we described the habitat preference of the discussed species of genus Leiobunum with respect to their specific geographical distribution in Slovenia, which makes forecasting the whole distribution of species of this genus easier.
