V diplomski nalogi sta predstavljeni dve varianti možne rekonstrukcije regionalne turistične ceste RT-930 Oplotnica – Pesek – Cezlak.

Title:A COMPARISON OF VARIANT SOLUTIONS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF A REGIONAL TOURIST ROAD OPLOTNICA - PESEK - CEZLAK
Abstract: When reconstructing the road, a substitution of upper layer is of primary significance, but at the same time the correction of all designed and technical elements of the existent road takes place. Road reconstruction is necessary due to the deformation which occurs as a consequence of the effect of traffic load, weather conditions, characteristics of built materials and the like. Consequently, many visual deformations appear on the road such as cart tracks, cracks, cracks in a shape of a net, potholes and deformations of other parts of the road (embankment, slope, berm, ecc.) which directly or indirectly affect traffic flow as well as road safety on the related road segment. Reconstructions are designed and executed according to traffic prognosis, which means that the road elements should be able to support the increasment of traffic in ten years in order to retain properties that ensure safety of all the members in traffic. Because of the reducing infrastructure spending it seems to be more and more important for the operator of road infrastructure to correctly evaluate the extent of repair necessary which would optimize the costs of reconstructions as well as new constructions. The evaluation can be accomplished with the study of variants which has not been used in reconstruction of roads with less traffic until now. Two possible variants for the reconstruction of the regional tourist road "RT-930 Oplotnica – Pesek – Cezlak “ were presented in the diploma paper. The purpose of the analysis carried out was to ascertain which choice of elements (and dimensions) of road in transverse profile is more appropriate. In the analysis, two roads profile widths have been compared. Following the different criteria, both variants were compared and evaluated in the concluding part. On this basis, we established that there construction with road profile of five metres (5m – 2 x 2.5m) was more suitable, since higher costs of the execution were justified due to a larger number of facilities, greater safety, pleasant ride, and eventually increased tourist development of this part of Pohorje, which would consequently lead to increased traffic on this section.
