Abstract:V diplomskem delu z naslovom Primerjava nekaterih telesnih značilnosti in gibalnih sposobnosti tri leta starih otrok smo želeli primerjati nekatere gibalne sposobnosti in telesne značilnosti od ena do tri leta starih otrok. V empiričnem delu so prikazani rezultati motoričnih testov in meritev telesnih značilnosti.

Title:COMPARISON OF CERTAIN PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES AND MOTOR SKILLS IN THREE-YEAR-OLDS
Abstract:The aim of the diploma thesis titled »Comparison of certain physical attributes and motor skills in three-year-olds« is to compare certain motor skills and physical attributes in children between the ages of one and three. The thesis is comprised of the theoretical and the empirical part. In the former, the physical attributes and motor skills of toddlers, motor competences in the initial years and a motor experientially rich environment are described. In the latter, the results of motor tests and the measurements of physical attributes are presented. The motor skills and physical attributes were measured on the sample of 50 children ages one to three, whereby the descriptive and the non-experimental causal methods were used. The results are presented with regard to gender, body weight, height, and body mass index. No important difference between the results of boys and girls was established, and there is also no statistically important difference between their weight and height. It was further established that children with a higher body mass index achieved better results than those with a lower body mass index.
Keywords:physical attributes, physical development, motor skills, motor development, motor stages, energy regulation, movement regulation, sensory development, motor competences.
