Abstract:	Turizem postaja vse bolj zaželena in prepoznavna gospodarska panoga tako v svetu kot tudi v Sloveniji. Kot dejavnost se mora prilagajati trendom razvoja in potrebam uporabnikov oziroma turistov. Pomemben element kakovosti in konkurenčnosti turistične ponudbe je varnost. Slovenija je del globalnega varnostnega prostora in varnostni izzivi so čedalje večji. Varnostno komponento turizma je potrebno raziskovati in jo vključevati v praksi pri izvajanju turistične dejavnosti. Zagotavljanje varnosti v turizmu je splet procesov in dejavnosti, ki zaposluje različne subjekte. Najbolj aktivna na tem področju je policija, ki pomembno prispeva k zagotavljanju varnosti v turizmu. Usklajevanje vseh procesov in dejavnosti v turizmu je domena logistike, ki služi kot podporna dejavnost usklajevanja med aktivnostmi turistične dejavnosti in med subjekti, ki pri tem sodelujejo. Vloga logistike v turizmu je vselej prisotna, zlasti ko govorimo o varnostnih vidikih turizma. Varnost pa je in mora biti sestavni del turistične ponudbe.

Title:	TOURISM IN SLOVENIA IN TERMS OF SECURITY AND LOGISTICS
Abstract:	Tourism is becoming increasingly popular and recognizable industry in global world and also in Slovenia. Business has to adapt to the trend of development and needs of tourists. An important element of quality and competitiveness of tourism is security. Slovenia is part of the global security environment and depends on it. As well the risks and threats are rising. Safety component of tourism should be explored and integrated into practice in the implementation of tourism activities. Ensuring security in tourism is a combination of processes and activities that includes a variety of subjects. Most active in this area is the police. Its role is to ensure safety. Coordination of all processes and activities in tourism is the domain of logistics, while serves as a support activity coordination between the activities and all of the involved subjects. The role of logistics in tourism is always present, especially when talking about security aspect of tourism.
