Abstract:	Disciplina je pomembna tako doma kot v vzgojno-izobraževalnem procesu, kjer predstavlja sredstvo, ki omogoča doseganje ciljev. V teoretičnem delu je opisan moralni razvoja posameznika, skozi katerega otrok pridobiva znanje in izkušnje, ki mu omogočajo, da ravna v skladu z družbenimi pričakovanji. Predstavili smo temeljne značilnosti preventivne in kurativne discipline ter izpostavili vzroke oziroma dejavnike, ki vplivajo na pojavljanje disciplinskih težav. Ker je discipliniranje povezano s kaznovanjem, smo opredelili značilnosti kaznovanja in navedli slabosti in prednosti, ki jih prinaša kaznovanje. Namen empiričnega dela je bil ugotoviti, kakšno je mnenje strokovnih delavk o disciplini otrok v vrtcu, pri tem pa so nas zanimali najpogostejši disciplinski problemi, vloga dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na (ne)disciplino pri otroku, uporabljene kazni, kompetentnost za reševanje omenjenih težav, posvetovanje pri reševanju težav, pomembnost sodelovanja in enotnosti med strokovnima delavkama v paru za uspešno doseganje discipline ter dejavnosti preventivne discipline. V raziskavi je bilo ugotovljeno, da so disciplinske težave pogost problem, s katerim se soočajo strokovne delavke, pri tem pa gre najpogosteje za neupoštevanje dogovorjenih pravil vedenja, kazni, ki jih ob kršitvah izrekajo strokovne delavke, pa so vzgojne in temeljijo na restituciji. Strokovne delavke so kot najpomembnejši dejavnik, ki vpliva na nedisciplino, izpostavile starše. Pomembno je, da se strokovne delavke počutijo zelo kompetentne za reševanje disciplinskih težav, kadar pa težave rešujejo skupaj z drugimi, to najpogosteje počnejo s sodelavko znotraj skupine. K preprečevanju disciplinskih težav prispevajo z izvajanjem številnih dejavnosti preventivne discipline, ob tem pa dajejo velik poudarek sodelovanju in enotnosti obeh strokovnih sodelavk v paru.

Title:	Opinions of professional workers on discipline in kindergarten
Abstract:	Discipline is important both at home and in the education and schooling process for it represents a tool for attaining objectives. The theoretical portion of the diploma thesis describes the moral development of the individual whereby the child acquires the knowledge and experience that will enable him or her to behave in accordance with social expectations. The diploma thesis also presents the fundamental characteristics of preventative and curative discipline and highlights causes or factors that effect the occurrence of disciplinary problems. As discipline is linked to punishment, the characteristics of punishment are defined and the advantages and disadvantages thereof covered. The purpose of the empirical part was to establish what the opinions of professional workers were with respect to discipline in the kindergarten. The study also endeavours to determine which disciplinary problems arose most often, the role played by factors affecting (non)discipline in the child, the types of punishment used, the competencies the workers possessed for resolving the denoted problems, the use of consultation in resolving problems, the importance of cooperation and uniform action between pairs of professional workers for the successful achievement of discipline and activities used which involved preventative discipline. The study established that disciplinary problems were a frequent problem encountered by professionals predominantly due to non-observance of agreed rules of behaviour while the punishments imposed comprised corrective measures based on restitution. The professional workers highlighted parents as the most important factor influencing non-discipline.It is important that the professional workers feel they possess adequate competence for resolving disciplinary problems and resolve such problems together with the majority resolving these problems with a colleague within the group. They can contribute to preventing disciplinary problems by implementing a variety of activities that involve preventative discipline and placing a large degree of emphasis on cooperation and uniformity of both professional workers working in pairs.
