Abstract:Skladiščna sposobnost belega zelja (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata f. alba cv. 'Krajnsko okroglo') in rdeče pese (Beta vulgaris L. cv. Izguba suhe snovi in vidne spremembe so bile opažene v vzorcu, ki so bili 10 dni shranjeni v inkubatorju pod neoptimalnimi pogoji (dekompozicijski test).

Title:The internal quality of vegetables – the influence of production systems
Abstract:A storage capacity of the white cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata f. alba cv. 'Krajnsko okroglo') and beetroot (Beta vulgaris L. cv. ‘Rote Kügel’), which were grown in different production systems, was analysed by a decomposition test in a period for two or four months of storage after the harvest in 2009. Plant samples were obtained from conventional, integrated, organic and biodynamic production systems and control (without fertiliser and protection means applied). A dry matter loss and visual modification of the incubated samples under controlled conditions were noticed after 10 days of monitoring. Results show no influence of the production system on samples decomposed after two months of storage by cabbages and after two and four months of storage by beetroots. The modifications were statistically significant in the integrated production by cabbages after four months of storage, where the highest dry matter loss was measured. A visual modification of the samples, graded with questionnaire, was the highest by cabbages in control and by beetroots in integrated produced samples.
