Abstract:	Sistem dostave, zasnovan na konceptu “milk-run”, skrbi za uskladitev naročil različnih dobaviteljev podjetja in predpostavlja distribucijo, organizirano na enem samem prevozu po vnaprej začrtani poti, ter optimizacijo njegove povratne vožnje, zaključene s povračilom embalaže dobaviteljev. Izraz "milk-run" izhaja iz dolgoletne tradicije prodaje in distribucije mleka na zahodu Amerike, kjer so podjetja mlečnih proizvodov organizirala domicilno razpečavo mleka in nazajšnji prevzem praznih steklenic. Razlogi, ki govorijo v korist uveljavitve takšnega sistema, tičijo v nizkih transportnih stroških, učinkoviti izrabi prostora na kamionu, povečanju discipline dobaviteljev in prevoznikov ter v večji kontroli nad izvedbo prevozov. Za potrebe podjetja BSH Nazarje smo preučili možnost vpeljave modela “milk-run” prevozov in ga aplicirali na distribucijsko verigo tega podjetja, zasledujoč njegove optimizacijske implikacije. Pri operacijah kvantificiranja poti in tovorne zasedenosti prevozov smo uporabili dve uveljavljeni programski aplikaciji, Load Designer in Premium Solver. Pri tem smo minimalizirali dostavne in logistične stroške, jih opremili s finančnimi podatki, in predstavili prihranke, ki rezultirajo iz izbranih primerov kombinacij prevozov. Raziskavo smo zaključili z navedbo generalnih priporočil za optimizacijo prevozov znotraj distribucijske verige podjetja BSH Nazarje in ob tem predstavili idejo uvedbe spletnega portala “Sigma”, portala, ki bi ga bilo mogoče pridružiti že obstoječemu informacijskemu sistemu tega podjetja in na ta način prispevati k optimizaciji njegovega dostavnega sistema. Spričo velikega obsega nabavnih materialov, številnosti dobaviteljev podjetja BSH Nazarje in časovnih omejitev, smo v raziskavi upoštevali le dobavitelje s stalnim sedežem v Sloveniji.

Title:	OPTIMIZATION OF LOGISTICS COSTS WITH INTRODUCTION OF THE CONCEPT
Abstract:	The delivery system, conceived from the notion of "milk-run", provides for the adjustment of orders, made by different suppliers of an enterprise, and presupposes a distribution that is organized on one sole conveyance upon a previously established path and, furthermore, the optimization of its return ride, concluded with the restitution of the supplier`s packing material. The term "milk-run" derives from a long-standing tradition of sales and distribution of milk in the American West, where the business enterprises, trading in milk, have organized a domiciliary distribution and the subsequent takeover of the empty milk bottles. The reasons for the introduction of such a delivery system can be found in low transportation costs, an effective exploitation of truck space, an increase in discipline by supliers and carriers, and in a greater control over the execution of conveyances. Meeting the needs of the enterprise BSH Nazarje, we researched the possibility of introduction of the model of "milk-run" conveyances and we applied it to the distribution chain of the above enterprise, pursueing the model's optimization implications. In dealing with operations of quantification of paths and cargo-occupancy of conveyances, we employed two commonly established application programs, namely, Load Designer and Premium Solver. Hence we minimized delivery and logistics expenses, equipped them with financial data and presented net savings that result from selected instances of combinations of conveyances. We concluded our research stating general guidelines for optimizing conveyances within the distribution chain of the enterprise BSH Nazarje and alongside that we presented the idea of launching a portal, called "Sigma", which could be installed under the already existing information system of the above enterprise, thus potentially improving the optimization of its delivery system. On account of the high volume of purchasing materials, the vast number of suppliers of the enterprise BSH Nazarje and time restrictions, we took into consideration only suppliers with a permanent residency in Slovenia.
