Abstract:Motivacija je kompleksen pojav, sestavljajo jo procesi spodbujanja, ohranjanja in usmerjanja telesnih in duševnih dejavnosti človeka. Obsega vsa gibala našega vedenja in ravnanja.

Title:MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES IN COMPANY KOMPAS, D.D.
Abstract:Motivation is a complex phenomenon, because it includes encouraging, maintaining and guiding a person's physical and mental activities. It comprises all the motives of our behaviour and actions. A higher level of success and efficiency at work is induced by recognising: the level of a person's motivation in a working environment and the proper stimulation. Nowadays, many factors and methods are used to encourage and increase motivation at work. They subsume material and non-material motivational factors. Instead of using material sources, which are limited in number, it is much more meaningful to deploy non-material ways of encouragement, such as constructing good relationships among co-workers, a motivational stile of leading, commendation, encouraging creativity at work and so on. The main topic of the diploma is motivating the employees and it is divided into two parts. In the first part, the idea of motivation is defined. It is succeeded by the presentation of the various material and non-material methods of motivation. These affect the employees and may have ramifications on the company's success. It is up to the company's management to single out those who most congenially affect the employees, in this way there is no need for it to use methods that are insignificant for the them. The second part discusses a research performed for the aforementioned theme. In the incipient part, we have presented the company Kompas d.d. Then, it is followed by a comparison 58 between the current and the desired working situations. A general study of the working population is followed by a study of the employees according to age. We have found out, that creative and interesting work, along with good relationships among co-workers and their superiors, were ranked as the highest by the employees. However, dissatisfaction was expressed concerning professional development, promotion and working motives.
