Abstract:Hrup obremenjuje človeka in uničuje njegovo psihično in fizično zdravje.

Title:TEXTILES FOR SOUND PROTECTION OF ROOMS
Abstract:Noise burdens and destroys the man's mental and physical health. For the purposes of reducing exposure to noise in the construction of residential and work areas, different materials for sound protection are in usage. Sound protection refers to two physical phenomena, namely sound absorption and isolation. Diploma work is focused on an overview of different types of textiles, which can be found at the Slovenian market, and used for room sound isolation. Webs made from the natural organic fibres (cellulose, wool) or inorganic chemical fibres (glass, stone), and recycled polyester fabrics, e.g. flocks from the automobile seats’ textile remains are mainly used for sound isolation. Sound isolating textiles are differentiated regarding the fabric thickness, mass, density, and volume fabric fraction or volume porosity. Therefore, they have different sound isolation properties. Webs made from the wool fibres have the best sound isolation (55 dB). Flocks made from the recycled textile remains (49 dB), cellulose webs (48 dB), stone webs (47 dB), and glass webs have lower sound isolation. Sound isolating webs are produced in the form of plates with a low porosity, rolls or bales with higher porosity, and in the form of blades. Flakes from recycled textile residues are blown into the required space between the walls.
