Abstract:Diplomsko delo z naslovom Ozaveščanje učencev o zdravi prehrani v teoretičnem delu osvetli pomen hrane in nato pobliže predstavi zdravo prehrano. Uživajo ga enkrat do dvakrat dnevno. Najraje uživajo jagode, češnje in jabolka.

Title:RAISING PUPILS' AWARENESS OF A HEALTHY DIET
Abstract:The thesis entitled Raising Pupils’ Awareness of a Healthy Diet in its theoretical part sheds light on the importance of food and subsequently looks at a healthy diet. The theoretical part, furthermore, focuses on foodstuffs, their nutrition and energy values, meals, a food pyramid, eating habits and last but not least A Healthy School Project. The purpose of the empirical part is to study the healthy diet and the consumption of fruit and vegetables at two primary schools, one of them being involved in A Healthy School Project the other not, to reveal any differences. Both the schools belong to the European System of Fruit Distribution, which is financially supported by the European Community. The results of the survey reveal that the pupils at these two schools consider breakfast very important, yet the percentage of those who actually have one is substantially lower. They love fruit which they usually have once or twice a day for a mid-morning or afternoon snack and less frequently for breakfast or lunch. They are fond of strawberries, cherries and apples. The pupils also like vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage and carrots. Similarly, they consume vegetables once or twice daily, preferring raw to cooked vegetables. The study showed no statistically significant differences between the two schools, I. OŠ Rogaška Slatina involved in A Healthy School Project and OŠ Podčetrtek, as expected.
