Title:The culture of professional dancer
Abstract:Negotiations are usually the begining of concluding new dance partnerships. Because of that it is very important, that when we start to negotiate with someone from another culture, we have to be first more informed about this culture and about the characteristics of this culture. Only with this method we can be successful, and we can also avoid problems and conflicts in the future. All this we should know before we start with negotiations. Also the moral and ethical side of someone's personality have a major impact in the personal characteristics of individual dancers. Through that we can see his relationship to himself, to other people around him and to work and training. In sport dancing this ethical principles are expected from dancers and judges, which are very important part of any dance competition. Judges should always maintain the highest standards of ethics and behavior. Corruption is very involved in sports, but this is threating the future. Gifts in sport dancing can be a very nice gesture, but can also move pretty quickly in bribes. Therefore it is necessary to pay attention to what we are giving (gift), at which opportunitie, and to whom. Culture performs many roles in everyday life, as well as in sport. Culture creates certain kinds of behavior of athletes/dancers. And according to the culture, we can find a lot of differences between sports. In our case, it is about culture of sport dancers (Ballroom and Latin-American dancers). The athletes/dancers are learning particular dance culture gradually and slowly. Because with the decision of doing a particular sport they take the responsibilitie of specific sport culture. In sport dancing, there are several dance groups. Individual dancers are different, but common thing is their dance culture. Culture is made by members of a particular sport and after generally accepted and unknowingly used. In each sport we can find certain recognizable characters in the culture of athletes, who remind us about the characteristics of certain sport discipline. Communication in a culturally mixed dancing couples is very hard, because there are many factors that are communication barriers. Differences and barriers are reflected in language, customs and habits, making agreement, space, time, religion and sex.
