Abstract:	V današnji informacijski družbi se vsi vsakodnevno srečujemo z množico uporabniških imen in gesel. Storitve nas morajo znati identificirati na podlagi lastne baze uporabnikov. Konvencionalno kreiranje uporabniškega imena za vsakega uporabnika, za vsako storitev posebej je za upravljavca storitve časovno intenzivno opravilo, uporabniška izkušnja pa je kljub vloženemu trudu slaba. Na koncu običajno pripelje do nevzdrževanih uporabniških imen, ki predstavljajo nesluteno varnostno grožnjo. Z vpeljavo organizacijskega in predvsem medorganizacijskega upravljanja z identitetami, enotne prijave ter povezovanjem v federacijo uvedemo princip univerzalne identitete. Le-to uporabniku izda domača organizacija, uporabna pa je tako za prijavo v vse storitve znotraj organizacije kot tudi v storitve, pridružene federaciji. V okviru diplomskega dela smo preučili tehnologije in koncepte, razvili povezovalne in prilagoditvene elemente medorganizacijskega upravljanja identitet ter na praktičnem primeru federacije ArnesAAI predstavili rešitev.

Title:	CROSS- ORGANISATIONAL IDENTITY MANAGEMENT AND SINGLE SING-ON
Abstract:	In today's information society, we all daily have to deal with a multitude of usernames and passwords. Services must be able to identify us on the basis of its own user base. Conventionally a username for each user for each service is created separately. That is time-intensive task for service operator and user experience is poor despite the efforts spent. At the end this usually leads to non-maintained user accounts, which represent a security threat. With the introduction of organizational and in particular the cross-organizational identity management, single sign-on and integration into a federation, we introduce the principle of universal identity. It is issued by user's home organization and can be used for accessing all services within the organization, as well as services associated in federation. In the thesis we investigate technologies and concepts, develop a cohesive and adaptive management elements of the cross-organizational identities and the practical case ArnesAAI Federation is presented as solution.
