Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo predstavili ambrozijo in njen vpliv na okolje in zdravje. Sklep.

Title:Impact of Ambrosia on the environment and health
Abstract:In this diploma paper we presented ambrosia and its impact on the environment and health. In recent years ambrosia has spread all over Slovenia, also the number of people allergic to ambrosia increased. For this reason the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and food adopted in 2010 the Order on measures to suppress harmful plants from the genus Ambrosia. Methodology of research. We collected the data through two structured questionnaires. One questionnaire included six closed questions and one open-ended question, the other questionnaire was composed of twelve closed questions and four open-ended questions. The research sample covered five municipalities in the Ptuj area and thirty agricultural landowners in the Ptuj area. The purpose of the research was to describe ambrosia and its impact on the environment and health, and to establish the knowledge of prevalence of ambrosia in the Ptuj area. Results. We found out that people recognise ambrosia and suppress it, irrespective of the fact that most people don't know that this is statutory and that nobody makes them aware of this tenacious and harmful plant. Conclusion. Although the majority of the questionnaire respondents recognise and suppress ambrosia, it is probably still not enough, because there is more and more of it seen in the environment. As ambrosia is spreading in the Ptuj area, the number of people allergic to it, is also increasing.
