Abstract:V diplomskem delu sem obravnavala naravno in družbeno geografske značilnosti Občine Dobrna. Z diplomskim delom sem želela ugotoviti, kakšen odnos imajo prebivalci Občine Dobrna do čiščenja odpadne vode z RČN in kako dobro jo poznajo. V sklopu terenskega dela sem izvedla anketo, s katero sem pridobila ugotovitve, v kolikšni meri ljudje poznajo RČN in kakšen je njihov odnos v zvezi z njo. Pridobljene rezultate sem dodatno podkrepila z izvedbo intervjuja z županom Občine Dobrna Martinom Brecljem.

Title:The attitude of the Dobrno population toward the wetland wastewater plant egraduation thesis
Abstract:Diploma paper deals with the natural and socio-geographical characteristics of the municipality of Dobrna. The municipality mostly consists of dispersed settlements that have to deal with a wastewater treatment problem. One possible way of treating wastewater is with a wetland wastewater plant (WWP), which is the simplest and most economically acceptable method of wastewater treatment for dispersed settlements. The paper tries to establish the attitude of the inhabitants of the Municipality of Dobrna towards wastewater treatment with a WWP and their familiarity with it. Fieldwork included a questionnaire-based survey, whose results were supplemented with an interview with the Municipality of Dobrna Mayor, Mr Martin Brecelj. This was the basis for an in-depth presentation of the problem. The research showed the inhabitants of Dobrna not to be very familiar with the WWP in their vicinity, with only 28% of the respondents having heard about it. These respondents have heard about the WWP through the media, their friends and at the their workplace; some have actually visited the plant. 88.8% of the respondents would use water from the WWP for watering plants; 64.5% for sanitary purposes; 60.7% for washing and 50.5% for fire-extinguishing. 3.7% would drink it. The inhabitants also had a poor knowledge of the basic features of the WWP. The majority (22.7%) knew that the plant required no electrical energy to operate. In spite of these findings, the survey and the interview showed the inhabitants of Dobrna to have a positive opinion of and a positive attitude towards the WWP.
